NPC Suggestion- Gaston the Swindler

Gaston the swindler (blue kecleon)

As the king of scams, Gaston has quite the bad reputation. Gaston spends most of his time tricking honest Pokémon out of their hard earned poke’dollars. By using fancy words and bogus contracts, Gaston manages to swindle pokemon out of thousands of poke'dollars daily. This has gotten him into big trouble in the past for biting more off than he could chew. He is often found disguising himself as the local kecleon merchant in order to gain the trust of the Pokémon living there. However, he doesn’t spend too much time in one area, from the fear of being discovered and pursued by his rather large group of unsatisfied customers. He’s the one to blame for ruining the kecleon species reputation. As you know most kecleon run a very modest and fair business. Hopefully Gaston gets what’s coming to him or you might just find yourself buying something at the bad end of the deal.

Back story: Gaston was extremely poor as a child. He grew up living in pestilent Swamp with his neglectful father Curtus. Gaston was never satisfied by what little he owned but his father could care less. While his father was out finding his next meal Gaston went and tryed to make something for himself. Gaston was drawn to stealing as his means of gathering riches, but sadly no one owned anything close to what he desired. One day a rather rich group of kecleon settled near his home. The market here was extremely empty and they hoped of gaining some more profit from the many water and grass pokemon that lived across the muddy banks. Gaston was intrigued by their arrival and began to investigate. He soon found out that it was a married couple who had moved in and the brought with them a lone daughter. She was a gentle yellow green hue in color and she was very unsatisfied by her new home. Gaston was intrigued and began to form a plan on how he could possible steal the riches he’s always dreamed of from this family. When the parents weren’t looking he walked up and attempted to talk to this green kecleon. She was appalled by his dirty appearance and sent insults his way. Gaston had never been so mad! Late that night he broke into their house and kidnapped the kecleon who had insulted him, and had her thrown into his muddy shack to wait until what he planned was complete. He quickly ran back and disguised himself as the daughter. That morning he walked about freely examining and taking note of everything about the rich kecleon house. The couple did not notice a thing they were too busy with trivial pursuits of business to notice anything different about their daughter. Eventually he found the family heirlooms and made off with as much as he could. He later freed the real daughter convinced that he could hide from anything that the family could puassably send to catch him in his own turf. Gaston was wrong. No more than a few hours later the kecleon family, enraged by the acts of Gaston, hired a local Cradily to find and punish him. The cradily was well aware of Gaston’s pursuit of riches and found his location fairly easily. Gaston received a brutal beating and was exiled from the swamp warned if he ever did return it would only bring his demise. It is unknown if Gaston’s father Curtus even knows his son was exiled. After this Gaston roamed around from place to place, his mind still set on his one dream. However, Gaston had come to find a new way to earn his riches, by Swindling. He vowed to himself never to steal for the treasure he wished for, but instead made quite a bit more from taking large amounts from others using his talent of trickery. He can spend all day finding lone targets to try and swindle. One of his greatest feats yet was managing to get a pokemon to think a useless rock was a priceless gem stone!
